Unveiling Nova Frontier: TipsyVerse’s Thrilling New Mobile Game Taking the Web3 Gaming World by Storm!

From the streets of NeoTokyo a new exciting game release approaches. Today we take a closer look at the latest NeoTokyo partnership - The Tipsy Company and their web3 gaming ecosystem The TipsyVerse. With their release of a new mobile game Nova Frontier, it is time to dive deeper into what they have been building for the past 2 years months.

Overview

TipsyVerse is an intertwined ecosystem encompassing a wide variety of products, NFTs and games, fueled and tied together by their native token. Within the ecosystem you will find:

  • Genesis Penguins - An NFT Collection of 2345 Penguins which is the bedrock of the entire TipsyVerse. They come in various shapes and sizes, and four levels of rarity (Common, Rare, Legendary & 1/1). They live on the Ethereum blockchain, but can be integrated into all other games within the TipsyVerse. For example, in the Gates of Abyss game, you can equip a Penguin in battle or use the NFT to farm rewards. Players will also be able to assign them to Spaceships to boost the power in the upcoming Nova Frontier game.

  • The Gate of Abyss game - A location-based RPG with more than 7000 downloads and 500+ daily active users (DAUs). The game is in early access on PlayStore and TestFlight and is playable on mobile (Android and OS).You can play GOA here.

  • A utility & governance token called $TIPSY which serves as the native token for the whole ecosyste of the TipsyVerse games. You can stake it for rewards on their website and earn $GIN.

  • An upcoming mobile game: Nova Frontier. An intergalactic combat game where humans, rebellious AI, and mysterious extraterrestrials battle for dominance.

TipsyVerse Ecosystem assets can be used across multiple games, and can also be transferred to other accounts freely.

Meet The Team

The Tipsy Company has been operating for more than two years and is largely self-funded. At the helm of the company is ForeverTipsy, an Elite Neo Tokyo Citizen.

The expanded team consists of more than 30 other people, spanning from game devs who previously worked at Ubisoft & 1SOFT, to marketing and creative leads. Advisors include former MD of Standard Chartered & Josh Ong who is Advisor to Yuga Labs.

They are heavily endorsed by Farokh, host of FomoHour and founder of Rug Radio. You can listen to a space with him here. Or watch a YouTube video where he mentions them here. The video was streaming across Twitter, Youtube, and their podcasts.

Core Mechanics & Gameplay

In the upcoming game Nova Frontier, there are three races locked in a balanced combat loop:

  • Humans who are fragile, but fearless. They use their wits and courage to outmaneuver their foes. Their unpredictable nature gives them an edge against Al.

  • Aliens who are mighty and enigmatic. They wield arcane technologies and their raw power makes them formidable against Humans.

  • AI Entities who are constructed, not born. They thrive in the harshness of space, and their advanced and precise tactics dominate the Aliens.

These races battle it out for a precious in game resource - the Dark Nova Crystals. These crystals can be used to advance the fleet, enhance durability and gun damage or boost defensive capabilities. As players, we pilot our spaceships through the vastness of space and engage in high-stakes battles. The game emphasizes competitiveness through skill-based mechanics and is play-to-earn; every victory brings tangible rewards.

Upcoming Events

Their upcoming game Nova Frontier is set to release sometime in late April 2024, after the Spaceship mint. To secure your waitlist spot, sign up for the early bird slot on the official website.

Navigating Web3 Social Farming: Lessons from PacMoon.

The world of Web3 social farming is a complex and often unforgiving one. Many projects have set out with grand ambitions, only to find themselves struggling to maintain relevance. The pattern is all too familiar - for the trained eye, we’ve seen it coming.

And now as Block launched with a free-falling token, participants are disappointed, and the once-promising ecosystem withers away.

This social farming system backfired.

With that kind of non-stop mindless farming people feel like they've been "working" and deserve to be paid. They instantly liquidate because they've been doing it for the Dollars and not the token or project. Amidst this farming chaos, one project has managed to chart a different course - PacMoon

Pacmoon managed to build a loyal following and establish itself as a force to be reckoned with. But what sets PacMoon apart from the rest? What lessons can we glean from their approach?

At the heart of PacMoon's strategy is a focus on quality over quantity. They have taken a more curated approach. They've implemented a creator incentive program that rewards thoughtful, engaging content, rather than simply flooding the timeline with noise.

They used a simple criteria to curate, guide, and elevate the content produced: the main Pacmoon account has to like the tweet for it to be eligible.

With the previous airdrop, there was a major focus on custom memes and IRL content that builds a culture around the project. And now with Airdrop 3 they’re raising the bar even further, focusing even more on quality.

In Conclusion

Running a campaign like PacMoon's undoubtedly requires more effort and human intervention compared to traditional social farming systems. It demands meticulous curation and constant monitoring to ensure that the content aligns with the project's goals and steers clear of vanity metrics.

However, the extra effort is well worth it, as it lays the foundation for building a genuine, thriving community around the project. By fostering involvement and active participation, PacMoon encourages its community to grow and improve alongside the project, season after season.

Rather than cultivating a sense of entitlement for payouts, PacMoon instills in its participants a feeling of belonging to a movement. This shared sense of purpose and commitment is what sets PacMoon apart and positions it for long-term success in the dynamic world of Web3 social farming.

Meet You Community Council: Ben Humbert

Discord ID: benhumbert
Background: Biology, Molecular Genetics
Entered Crypto: 2018
Joined NT: S1 Mint
Expertise: Operational Realization
Most Known For: SwapStreet, Fukushima Fish
Reason for Joining Leads: Exploring Ideas and Bringing People Together
One Word: Analytical
Outside Interests: Music, Building Mechanical Keyboards

A B.A. in Biology, emphasis in Molecular Genetics, and Pre-Physical Therapy Program, Ben Humbert landed a job with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Project managing two different sites globslly, he wore many hats handling everything from instructing the manufacturing teams on antibody and protein production, to calculating margins, and custom prototyping of products. The position solidified his problem solving skills and led to a promotion managing compound screenings from Pfizer, Bayer, and AstraZeneca.

He got into crypto around this time, originally putting one of his bonuses into XRP. Ben was a fan of the international payment settlement solution, and thus started his crypto journey. When Covid hit, Ben was not only taken out with a layoff, but also infected with the first OG strain. He had already been donating blood regularly, but was now producing wild type antibodies that paid out 5x more than his donations were worth.

The hospitals needed what he had, so he used it to keep paying the bills while he began to dive deep into the world of DeFi, NFTs, and staking pools. He took advantage of the CARES Act, pulled out all of his 401k and put it in the bank. When he went to grab some cash for an engagement ring, he was met with a string of road blocks. Managers needed to be consulted and he realized he needed to get someones approval to access his own money. It was then he made the decision to pull it all out, and drop it into Bitcoin. Freedom of monetary movement became a top priority to him from then on.

NeoTokyo came onto the scene shortly after when fellow citizen Xenophan (AKA Jose Solsaga Paramount), tuned him in to the riddles. The initial days were a wild ride and the fast pace of the community was intense. Presently, Ben’s main focus is family. Aside from that he’s had a new concept he’s been toying around with that involves NFTs and medical claims, allowing for “homomorphic encryption involving smart contracts that can process fully encrypted messages and the ability to work on those, send them, and understand those messages without revealing those parties or that information,” Ben Said. It essentially dives into the pharmacy benefits management space, allowing people to generate money from their own personal health. “We have this really cool opportunity to anonymously follow individuals from a population health perspective longitudinally, or, you know, over a long period of time, anonymously,” Ben said.

The ability to have real time on-chain indicators of epidemics, pandemics, hotspots based on what is being prescribed.  Ben has been working with his current company, RxBenefits, presenting soon at their Innovation Days, with a new concept focused on zero knowledge proofs for claim adjudication. This could allow users to visit a pharmacist, without needing to provide their personal information when picking up their prescription.

Ben is working toward decentralizing PHI/PII onto trusted devices like mobile phones so users would never need to pen to paper on anything at hospitals again. Ben also bringing charity orgs into web3 through his company called Basic Needs, is the founder of the NFT collection Fukishima Fish and is most known for his creation of SwapStreet.

Citizens should reach out to Ben for operational realization, or essentially, when you want something done. “The way my brain works is I usually process map everything,” Ben said. Basically, Ben is the guy that can help you figure out how to get things done.

He felt that he was a good representation of The Citadel population, so he joined in order to continue exploring ideas and bringing people together. Ben feels the Council has an extremely good track record with being open and honest, and he was proud to join adding value always considering what is best for the Citadel, and her citizens.

Outside of NeoTokyo, Ben enjoys building mechanical keyboards, he’s recently picked back up on running, and always enjoys a little time gaming. In addition, he’s been making a little music on this side. To learn more about Ben, follow him on Twitter.
