Opportunities Abound in Neo Tokyo
In this update, there is a heavy theme of shining a spotlight on the remarkable partnerships forged beyond The Citadel - even during the stillness of the bear market. Despite uncertainties beyond our control, as always, our citizens stand tall, showcasing the true strength of collaboration that leads The Citadel towards a brighter future.
If you missed it, we held an engaging AMA with Boxxed, where you can catch up on the fascinating details about their platform and what this partnership means for The Citadel.
The deal makers in Citadel Tower have been working overtime, because yet another partnership was announced with Tom Bilyeu's Project Kyzen.
PK is a 3D NFT avatar creation portal and experiential game world, and to celebrate this union of worlds, Bilyeu hosted a Twitter Space session with our game makers, Becker and Ellio, discussing the future of gaming and our massive collaboration. To get the details of the partnership, check out this Discord announcement.
Citadel stalwarts, Ben Gothard and Chr0nicle, welcomed the CyberKongz faithful through our gates for a discussion about building in the bear and the upcoming Kongz release, Genkai. Meanwhile, we at NT News have been hosting our NFT Market Monday Spaces every Monday. As always, you know where to find us tomorrow doing it all over again.
It’s not all been smooth sailing and forging strong relationships though. There are many out there who want to burn our city down and take away everything we hold dear.
Our founder, Ellio, was the victim of Twitter hack earlier this week, as was the SuperVerse account. This is a timely reminder that no one at Neo Tokyo will ever launch a surprise mint, thus if you see one, it is 100% a scam and you will have your wallet drained. No exceptions.
However, even if that isn’t enough of a warning, there are a couple of citizens who have your degenerate ass covered….
Chief protectooors of Neo Tokyo, Danor and Metro of Mint Defense, successfully raised $200K with CitCap. For around a year now, Mint Defense has saved countless citizens from falling foul to the dirty tricks these Godless scammers try to play on us.
As a result, the pair have gained a legion of backers who voted with their wallets this past week. Not only that, but Becker gave MD their dues this weekend saying “MD is an example of something we can all be proud of.”Congrats to MD, but this also stands as a monumental win for Neo Tokyo. This exclusive opportunity was available only within our realm.
CitCap announced the hiring of a new CMO this week…The Citadel’s own Ben Gothard. It appears this hire may be signaling a new, exciting phase of activity from Neo Tokyo’s investment arm…
🧪 In order to better serve you, our investors, we’re going to begin rolling out an experiment soon. We’ll be curating content from our portfolio companies & retweeting for your convenience.
🏆 The goal is to provide:
1) Visibility for you into the companies you’ve deployed… httptwitter.com/i/web/status/1…p

Lastly, we have our next Town Hall coming up on July 31st. There will be some major announcements, such as a reorganization of the Community Leads Team, and the introduction of a new application process to get high-value members into NT Leadership. Mark that date in your digital diaries.
NFT Market Update
Grand Rising, citizens. If you haven't completely given up on the dull action in the NFT markets yet, this section is for you. If you have, I don't blame you; the situation is less than favorable indeed.
Today’s hot topics:
Price Action Analysis
Genkai Mint
OpenSea Copies SwapStreet
Price Action Analysis
After the brutal dump we had in mid-July, it looks like the prices in the NFT space have now stabilized.
This is now the second consecutive week of relatively low volatility - at least for the top collections. This allows people to reassess the situation and decide if they want to re-allocate some of their bags.
Such is the case with Azuki, the ecosystem which has been facing the most FUD currently. They just can't catch a break after the team messed up the Elementals mint. Thus, everything in their ecosystem is seeing double-digit losses. That money is likely flowing into other collections such as Checks, Opepen and Pudgy Penguins.
Sproto Gremlins, after pumping 200% last week, are now entering into a period of retracement, down to around 0.45 ETH from their all-time-highs of 0.73 ETH.
The overall volume is still quite dry, hovering around 20k ETH on blur with everyone else trailing behind, Additionally, there have not been any notable sales above 100 ETH this week.
CyberKongz’ Upcoming Mint
Last week, Luca Netz from Pudgy Penguins pointed out that now is a terrible time to launch mints. Still, some insist on doing so, even though the market conditions prevent guaranteed success. One of the bigger examples of this is the Genkai mint. Neo Tokyo was selected for whitelist spots and you can listen to a collab Twitter Space between our communities.
A lot has been said about the mint on Twitter and the general opinion is polarized on it. Some think that the mint price of 0.25 ETH is too much, but on the other hand, both the Genesis and the VX Kongz collection floors are way above that. In this sense, 0.25 represents a really cheap entry into their ecosystem.
However, if this does not mint out in full, it will likely be perceived negatively by the NFT space and hinder their success momentarily.
OpenSea’s Deals
In last week’s NFTuesday, we talked about OpenSea's cryptic announcement indicating that there will be something good coming. People wanted a token and told them as such in the replies!
Alas, it wasn't a token. Instead, they decided to add some more functionality to their platform. They introduced “Deals,” where you can swap NFTs if both parties agree to it.
For us in Neo Tokyo, this isn’t anything ground-breaking since we have a citizen-built platform called SwapStreet that has been doing this since forever.
This is all I have for you this week, see you in the next one.
Love,
Flower83
