This Week In Neo Tokyo:
The Citadel’s Hype Is Undeniable

Sacred Writs Mint Out!

Neo Tokyo’s first paid mint since the launch of Outer Citizens went live this past Thursday and sold out in a resounding success! The remaining supply of 555 Sacred Writs not claimed during the GTD phase (around 80), sold out in under a minute during the FCFS phase!

Even after all this time, The Citadel’s hype is undeniable.

Mint fees were paid using BYTES—30 for GTD and 40 for FCFS participants. What’s more, 80% of the BYTES were burned, with the remaining 20% allocated to the NT Treasury. A massive win for everyone!

Utility Breakdown

  • Exclusive Access: Regular lore and art releases, viewable via a 3D interactive model and on the NT Lore Discord.

  • Rewards for Holders: With each chapter release, select winners receive “original” traits and physical art prints.

  • Role Perks: Sanctum Keeper status in the Lore Discord, offering additional clues for the 6th Hand Competition.

If you missed out, trading is now live on secondary marketplaces. Check it out here.

Short Scoops

Shoutout to AbstractChain and Pudgy Penguins for their collaboration, but an extra big thanks to Chr0nicle and the Outreach Team for connecting The Citadel with The Iceberg and securing Citizens a sizable allocation of $PENGU!

Market Elites, friends of Neo Tokyo, partnered with Shibuya Mall to release an exclusive collection. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Upcoming Events

Until next week, citizens. A very Merry Christmas to one and all.

It’s Airdrop Season!

…And it makes sense, too.

Despite this off-putting market correction we find ourselves in right now, we have reached ATH’s and teams are either doing their airdrops organically while market conditions are hot, or they are being pressured by others to rush their tokens out now.

There might be another, more indirect reason as well… and that is simply that it is “Happy December” and people are feeling particularly playful as we enter the “giving mode” with Christmas spirit going around.

In any case, we love to see it.

Just these past few days, we had a lot of excellent projects launching and giving us free money. There was $ME, $ODOS, $m3m3, a number of AI Agents (such as Agent YP), $CAH, and the second round of distribution for $SWORLD.

One of the most hyped airdrops recently was Hyperliquid, with its unparalleled post-TGE price action, pulling an impressive 6x in less than a month with an “up only” chart.

We are especially happy to see many NFT collections flying because of the $PENGU effect. Arguably, it was the single most important catalyst recently that caused the entire NFT space to get a bit of a renaissance.

And there’s much more in store in the following weeks it seems.

We pumped so hard it even made these abominations come back to life under the pressure of speculation of launching their own token:

It was mostly speculation, however.

Not far-fetched though, given that many NFTs now feel “pressured” to release a token after $PENGU was such a success. Doodles also all-but-confirmed it, in a not-so-cryptic tweet recently:

Another collection that might soon follow suit is Azuki, with their release of their $ANIME token. Many are loading up on Azuki NFTs precisely to position themselves for this eventuality:

Now, with all going on, here's a bit of actionable alpha:

There are a few websites (such as earndrop & airdrops.io) that diligently track past, present and future airdrops, the tasks you have to do to get them, and launch dates. There are also quite a few wallet checkers (such as wenser & zenith) you can utilize, to check if your wallets are eligible and to never miss an airdrop.

On that note, if you are in Neo Tokyo, you should absolutely keep track of all announcements and stop fading free money, as there are tons of opportunities on the road ahead… even though, admittedly, sometimes it does require a few extra steps.

Gone are the days when airdrops were actual airdrops, now you have to provide wallets from foreign and forgotten ecosystems and L1 chains, join Discords, enter raffles, fill out forms and retweet stuff.

But hey… it's still free money, right?
