This Week In Neo Tokyo:
No One Is Doing It Better

Exciting news dropped earlier this week with The Citadel announcing its latest strategic partnership, this time with bitsCrunch, the AI-powered, decentralized NFT data platform! Citizens can now enjoy up to a 50% discount on IP protection services and one year of free access to the GameFi analytics dashboard. Get all the details here.

There are a couple of crucial votes underway right now. Becker is seeking our input on investment opportunities in Neo Tokyo. AtomikSushi has laid out some potentials in a post, so head over and make your voice heard by selecting your top three projects.

The other vote comes from Crasher, presenting options to showcase Neo Tokyo IP to retail audiences - a massive prospect! Crasher and the team want to know which concepts they should explore further: custom models, a comic series, digital frames, or custom merch. Cast your votes here.

A big congratulations to the AMA Division, now 33 episodes deep into Interlinked, with 25 of those being the rebooted version! If you're a regular reader of TWINT, you know content is a cornerstone of The Citadel's weekly activities, and right now, no one is doing it better than us.

Bytes Chart: April Update

Amidst growing uncertainty in the crypto market, the BYTES token has also felt the impact, with its price currently down 50% from its March highs.

Although a game-changing utility for BYTES has yet to emerge, the citizens of Neo Tokyo remain focused on what they do best: building the framework for a thriving ecosystem. With the upcoming plans to implement multi chain BYTES using Chainlink technology, our citizens will soon have additional tools to develop and enhance our digital city.

April monthly Pivots in USD:

  • Support 2: $3.07

  • Support 1: $5.26

  • Central Pivot 🧲: $9.13

  • Resistance 1: $11.32

The price has declined to the monthly $5 support level, with quarterly support now starting in the $4 range. Liquidity depth has decreased, now at $10k for every 4% price movement. Ideally, this depth will increase as more supply is added to the pools and demand for the token rises.

As inflation of the BYTES token gradually slows, the Neo Tokyo community is actively shuffling their position. With BYTES symbolizing the value created within our city, the community remains dedicated to innovating and developing new ways to utilize our resources effectively.

These pivot charts are not meant to predict anything but they can be used to assess risks and opportunities in the market. Catalysts can affect the price of BYTES in unexpected ways.

Can the Devs Do Something? Meet Felix Norden

  • Discord ID: felixnorden

  • Background: Machine Learning, AI, Software Engineering

  • Entered Crypto: 2017

  • Joined NT: S1 Mint

  • Expertise: Software Development

  • Most Known For: Hacking the Games, Neo Tokyo Tech Lead, Bytes 2.0

  • Reason for Joining Leads: Make Neo Tokyo a Better Place

  • One Word: Nerd

  • Outside Interests: Building, Gaming

A software engineer by trade, Felix has a Masters in Machine Learning and AI, with generally a very mathematics heavy background. Felix always had an easy time understanding things in general, technology in particular. He started building his own computers around the age of 11, and went on to spend summers working at hardware and PC repair stores.

Gaming and messing around with photoshop took up a lot of his free time and around 15 he picked up on coding. Now, a software engineer by trade, Felix has a Masters in Machine Learning and AI, with generally a very mathematics heavy background.

Felix’s first exposure to crypto happened while in university. One of his upperclassmen was going on about the future of blockchain and Ethereum in particular. This individual had actually contributed code to the EVM itself. Felix bought it and rode it through the bear till 2021 when he started dabbling in NFTs.

A follower of Becker for years, Felix joined the riddles and his tech background allowed him entry into the inner circle of several quality groups. He made good friends along the way, one being Vidar who he’s still friends with today. The first identity mints were insanely expensive. Felix almost landed a rare paying $1,100 in gas fees but was unsuccessful in minting it. He ended up getting a white ID that he still has to this day.

However, odd things were going on in The Citadel. People were getting banned for no reason, so he decided he was going to follow all the rules, but also bend them as much as possible. Felix figured out how to hack the game with a lot of elegant solutions that were untraceable, which is essentially where his reputation ascended.

In the early days, Felix started the AMA division but eventually rolled into lead the tech side after Danor moved on to build MintDefense. His main focus now is on running his three companies. Felix runs Murre, Yurei, and Ignio. Yurei VC is Spectre rebranded and was acquired through Murre and his dev agency, Ignio.

Felix spends a lot of his time helping out Neo Tokyo with technical issues and dev problems. Ignio is a full service development agency providing Felix with the ability to handle many projects. Ignio focuses on transparency, openness, and verifiability. They are on the pricey side, but the quality speaks for itself.

Felix has 11 years of professional experience in software development throughout the entire software stack. “If people have questions when it comes to solving problems, be it on chain or off chain, I'm more than happy to help. And I think that's where a lot of my capabilities can come into play,” Felix said. He has a lot of experience running companies and knows who to trust, and who not to trust, in web3 so he is always happy to chat and lead citizens in the right direction.

Aside from hacking the games, Felix has a larger contribution to the ecosystem that most don’t know. He was one of the core contributors for Bytes 2.0 both from a tokenomics perspective and implementation. He worked closely with Thrasher to help bring that upgrade to The Citadel.

As an early member of the Leads, Neo Tokyo has been his stepping stone into working full time in web3. In the early days, citizens were left to their own devices to figure things out but that established a strong bond within the community. He built many strong relationships with the leads and he just generally wants to be here to make Neo Tokyo a better place for all. “Neo Tokyo is our home in the crypto space, and we really want to make sure that it succeeds, because if it succeeds, we know that we will succeed,” Felix said.

Outside of Neo Tokyo, Felix enjoys building stuff. An avid learner, he’s constantly exploring new technologies. He also enjoys gaming and luckily his fiance is more of a gaming geek than he is, so the time he spends gaming with her is "amazing."
