We do like a good submission form here in Neo Tokyo, and Ben Humbert, with the help of some other Leads, have revamped the proposal submission process. Essentially, new templates have been created to make the process much more clear. To read the announcement in full, view here.

While the fiat banking system in the old world continues to wreak havoc on the unfortunate meatbags we left behind, the Bank of Neo Tokyo continues to thrive and notch up record numbers. 

An astonishing 60% of Citizens are locked up for 1-2 years, and over 50% of the entire supply of $BYTES is locked. This is a testament to the faith citizens have in the future of The Citadel. Neo Tokyo super-onboarder, Race4TheWin, raised some questions about upcoming updates. These concerns include the inability to mint IDs and components, the absence of a ranking system, the inability to claim $BYTES from unopened vaults, our tools site not being updated, and the uncertainty surrounding the functionality of Chips.

Firestorm responded promptly, stating that "The Architect (Thrasher) is back at the battlestation, and we will address these issues at the next Town Hall." While we may not receive immediate answers, it's evident that these matters are actively being addressed.

ICYMI, Neo Tokyo held a Twitter Space with @yellowpantherx. During this session, we gained insights into their gaming content strategies, learned about the latest trends in the crypto gaming influencer scene, and gained some perspective on the differences between gaming in the East and West. At the end of August, CONNECTED dropped some alpha in the citcap-chat channel. “Tip of the day: get Transcendence NFT as there is juicy airdrop coming.” No riddles, no vague alluding to something which may or not may happen; nay, this one is laid out on a silver platter for you, anon.

Earlier this week, discussions have resurfaced regarding the impending airdrop, with confirmation that each Transcendence NFT will correspond to one portion of the airdrop, allowing for stacking. As always, this is not financial advice or a green light to launch your net worth into it, although I think we’re seasoned enough to not be doing that now right?..... Right!?......

One of the biggest mobile game developers and publishers, Zynga, entered the world of web3 gaming with a free mint last week.

The 9999 NFT collection called Sugartown is a web3 gaming platform that runs on the Ethereum network.

Since it launched, the collection reached an all-time high floor of 0.4 ETH and now sits around 0.3 ETH.

Two things helped Sugartown get to that high of a floor price:

• The free mint that was done very well by an established web2 gaming studio (Zynga.)

• Partnerships with established web3 content creators such as Zeneca.

The NFT holders get access to all the games Zynga plans to release on the platform.

One of them is Mountain Goat Mountain, which is a mobile game with over 500 million downloads.

Zynga’s plan for Sugartown is to be a multi-title web3 gaming platform that has a suite of games across all genres.

Sugartown will adopt Zynga’s core principles, which are:

• Create games for people who don’t have time to play games.

• Focus on long-term scalability.

As of now, Sugartown will focus on the niche web3 gaming audience before scaling to the traditional web2 gaming audience.

Excited to see how they do that.

Tanyo also writes the Gaming Portal, a free newsletter that shares one mind-blowing story a week.

On September 13, Koko - co-founder of NGMI Lab - and I hosted Action Hours in the PRP division of Neo Tokyo and discussed the importance of developing partnerships during the bear market. During the event, we brought up some great reflections and questions to ask yourself that can guide anyone in how to develop partnerships.

• Marketing may not be effective in the current bear market. Considering media exposure to grab the attention of potential clients and investors is a smart idea. Engage in Twitter spaces, join new communities, build connections on LinkedIn, and more.

• Don't be discouraged by rejections. Each time your partnership proposal is declined, take it as an opportunity to learn why and make improvements. Remember, you're still building brand awareness in the process. Give it a few months, then revisit those who turned you down with a new and improved proposal that showcases your business progress.

• Not every Web3-based company can be a good partner to your business, being selective when you send your partnership proposal would be better instead of just "building" name partnerships for the sake of having their logos on your website.

Questions to ask yourself:

• How many partners do I currently have? Do I need more?

• Do I need more partners? If so, why?

• How many partners have brought me job opportunities in the past six months?

• Can developing new partnerships help me achieve my goals faster than working alone?

• If I don't have partners, how can I build new relationships? What can I offer? Should I pursue business partnerships or brand partnerships?

Yes, in my opinion, we are still in a bear market (not financial advice). However, this is not necessarily a bad thing. It provides us with an opportunity to focus on personal growth, scaling our business, taking time for ourselves, expanding our network, and developing partnerships that can potentially bring clients or customers to your Web3 project/business.

The bear market serves as a period of preparation, where we can educate ourselves on new technologies and strategies, and broaden our knowledge. 

Let's take advantage of this time and make the most of it, rather than wasting our precious time.
