This Week In Neo Tokyo:
We Frontran Them AGAIN

It’s been a rambunctious week in The Citadel, packed with news, updates, and electric vibes as the market pulses green. And who led this surge? BYTES, of course. Yes, we frontran them all AGAIN.

But without a doubt, the headline story this week was the X Space this past Wednesday, hosted by our angelic overlord, EllioTrades, and Project Manager Firestorm. They welcomed a stacked panel of Futureverse Co-Founders, including none other than the legendary Ready Player One creator, Ernest Cline!

It was here that Neo Tokyo's long-term partnership with OPEN was announced—a cutting-edge, multi-biome battle royale gaming experience.

So, what does this mean for us? Neo Tokyo citizens can expect to see our IP featured in the game, along with some exciting reveals on the horizon. Speaking of reveals, we learned that the 5th Hand competition isn’t far off (two weeks seems like a fair estimate, as is tradition). This event will showcase the debut of The Whisperer, a new character from Neo Tokyo’s lore, who will be brought to life in 3D in OPEN!

This partnership is massive and cements Neo Tokyo as a leader in the Web3 gaming space while onboarding more players into the OPEN experience. We’re creating a future where gaming, stories, and communities merge in ways never seen before.

This is how things shaped up with the NT content:

Interlinked #49 – The AMA team—Ben, Nick, and Jarred—are featured this week, and for good reason. They’ve been up to a lot lately. Learn more about the highly popular new $BYTES airdrop initiative, the BOIR filing, and a dive into Telegram farming—something we should all be paying attention to. Shout out to Photoshopped_AF for that thumbnail!

Today AMA – Ever wanted to live on your own island and interact with AI-powered NPCs? If you’re British, this is already somewhat of a reality, but for everyone else, there’s Today! The conversation dives deep into why this is a hot prospect to keep a close eye on. Listen back here.

Vendetta Games AMA – The studio behind a Red Dead Redemption-style web3 game joins the AMA team to share insights about that and the others they’re working on, plus details about their token which powers their entire ecosystem. Listen back here.

Market Monday – The 60K saga continues, this week asking whether it will hold. I think since Monday, we’ve gratefully received our answer on that! Plus, the team gets a Token2049 review from Chr0nicle, who was representing The Citadel in Singapore last week. Other topics include the “$230 million scam” and whether airdrops are back for real this time. Listen back here.

Kerberus Is ‘Fire’ing on All Cylinders!

It’s a week filled with big news all around, and our beloved partner from The Citadel, Kerberus, just dropped a bombshell by announcing its acquisition of Fire and its impressive 50,000 users!

Many of us are already familiar with the incredible work of Metro and Danor, the two kings behind Kerberus, who have been keeping us irresponsible and reckless degenerates safe for over two years. This move undoubtedly elevates their creation to new heights in the Web3 security space.

With this update, Kerberus Sentinel3 now offers users coverage of up to $30,000 on every transaction—and you can even extend that coverage up to 100 ETH (around $270,000 at today’s prices)! This means you can move with added confidence, knowing that you’re protected against losses from malicious transactions or signatures on Web3 sites that Sentinel3 has scanned and approved.

A big game-changer here is the integration of Fire’s technology, which simulates transactions to show exactly what’s entering and exiting a wallet before users sign. This transparency, combined with Kerberus’ advanced real-time scam detection boasting a remarkable 99.9% accuracy, makes Sentinel3 an essential tool for anyone engaged in self-custody security.

As we know, since its launch in January 2023, zero Sentinel3 users have lost their crypto or NFTs to scams that the platform failed to detect—this stat speaks for itself!

In addition to its transaction coverage, Sentinel3 offers a robust suite of features, including on-chain protection against attacks, emergency event alerts for mass Web3 security incidents, and warnings for malicious addresses before you interact. Plus, you can benefit from the social shield feature, which helps detect impersonators across platforms like X.

To support these upgrades, Kerberus will charge a small 0.8% flat fee on swap transactions on certain DEXes, starting with Uniswap. And if you prefer a more stripped-down version, you can easily downgrade to the new free version with just a click in the Sentinel3 extension.

This acquisition marks a monumental step forward for Kerberus, proudly born right out of The Citadel, and reaffirms their commitment to keeping our profits safe and sound—even if we don’t with questionable investment decisions.
