This Week In Neo Tokyo:
Protected By The Light

A warm welcome to one of our newest citizens, Spvce, whose recent X post shows that we are all very much on the same wavelength. If you haven’t already, give our great new addition a big GR.

Huge news dropped this week with the announcement of a major partnership forming between Dropper and The HBAR Foundation. Dropper, a project led by Elite Citizen Faust, is focused on web3 gaming infrastructure and enabling on-chain building. This move will empower S1 citizen gaming builders to make the most of the Hedera ecosystem. Listen to the AMA held earlier this week to find out more.

If you're a citizen builder, you can apply for partnership here.

On March 7th, the next instalment of our fabled Founders Roundtable will be live on X instead of inside the Discord. Angelic Overlord, Ellio, will be joined by @0xferg (Immutable), @BitBenderBrink (Gala), and @meritcirclorr (Merit Circle). Set reminders here.

‘Stache made his Neo Tokyo Stream Team debut playing Siphus Odyssey, something he says is "THE best web3 mobile game I have ever played." Watch the stream here.

Orangie was back, this time streaming Dookey Dash live and hitting a high score, graciously crediting Neo Tokyo for the luck. Real ones know Citizens are protected by the light in all endeavors. Watch him tear it up in the sewers here.

Magic Eden launched, and as reported last week, Neo Tokyo has partnered up with them. There is currently a 50% diamond bonus on all sales of our Neo Tokyo collection NFTs. We're in better waters now.

With that in mind, we may see an influx of new blood arrive in the coming weeks to months. With the recent market activity and money flowing in, questions on how to buy into Neo Tokyo may arise from friends and associates unfamiliar with our ecosystem.

Thread king, Ktrap, shares this view and has dropped a Buyers Guide Mega Thread, perfect for onboarding and making the Citadel an even better place to reside.

The News Team hosted MixMob this past Monday on our weekly X Space, diving into that project with a great back and forth between them and our sponsor, Virtue Poker. Other topics delved into included BitBoy mercilessly beating up a shitcoin dev (something we’ve all wanted to do at some point), what’s happening over at Blast, and questions about the direction that Yuga is going.

Web3’s most fun show was back for another banger, this time with the focus on whether you are on team memecoin or riding the Bitcoin train? Also, questions arise as to when we should do that thing so many of us failed to do last time; press the red button. Yes, sell. It’s next to the green button. It was news to us too. Degen Digest brings the laughs with some serious alpha and market talk, and is always a must-watch.

The subject of Meet Your Citizens this past week was LeBoomington, with the article from this conversation showcased in last week's issue of the newsletter. LeBoom is an OG legend who has contributed heavily to Neo Tokyo’s success, and it’s always great to hear his insights, no less in this feature hosted by Block Editor.

There were three more AMAs this past week, starting with one featuring the cutting-edge web3 mobile app and game development studio, DexioProtocol. Next up was our partners, QORPO World, who are building an all-in-one gaming platform that simplifies blockchain tech for both web3 users and traditional gamers alike. These were rounded off with a session with Xbord, who spoke about their Player Identity Protocol gaming infrastructure.

Additionally, Episode #18 of Interlinked dropped, this time featuring HarleySwann of DomiOnline–a sharp-looking MMORPG set in a medieval fantasy world for a sit-down with Ben Gothard.

Finally, this coming Sunday will see the Bets4Bytes Season 24 MTT #3 take place. Register here at VirtuePoker to enter. Representatives from the NT News team will be present, ready to do what we do best.

Until next week, citizens.

Wait, what’s that?…..We have breaking news coming through….

There are now 2000 S2s staked, as reported by Ktrap not long ago. Congratulations Outer Citizens!

Gigabullish Market Sentiment Is Back

So here we are.

My timeline is absolutely euphoric. Yours probably is as well. We can endlessly scroll through a vast sea of hyped up bullposts. We are at that state of the market where people are congratulating themselves, boasting about financial gains, and posting funny memes and having fun. Alpha is being shared, referral links are being shilled, scammers are posting phishing links, airdrop farmers are still getting showered with 5 figures monthly, and influencers are giving their takes on what the markets are going to do next. The crypto and NFT space is flourishing. It's exactly as I remember it in 2021, only better.

Dare I say it. This time is (a bit) different… it feels, different. Study what “supercycle” is. Lesson in there.

Everyone is already very much in profit and I don't think we are anywhere near the top yet. This is all pre halving. It has been said “institutions are coming” each cycle now. Well, with ETF approval, whales buying in bulk, 500 million worth of capital inflow into BTC through Blackrock in 2024 and Fidelity recommending 1-2% exposure to crypto assets, this might very well be the case.

BTC reached all time highs this week (in € amounts) and we have not yet seen a rotation into altcoins. Actually most of them are underperforming in comparison to BTC. Same goes for NFTs, except if you are a Milady or a Pudgy holder.

This is all well and good. If you positioned yourself well and believe in your bags, wait and let money come to you. Gaming, NFTs, AI, launchpad projects, Ordinals, L2 chains, memecoins… everything will start running soon. Patience. Your bags are packed. Your only job now is to not sell too early, and when you do sell, don't chase falling knives when prices go lower.

Now. This is absolutely not financial advice. I am not a financial advisor. But… I believe we are going higher. I believe this is going to skyrocket.

Have fun playing the bull cycle. Gone are the days when we scramble for breadcrumbs. This is the cycle we retire. This is our time.

Meet Your Neo Tokyo Community Leads:
Crasher

  • Discord ID: crasher98

  • Background: Production & Marketing

  • Entered Crypto: 2020

  • Joined NT: S1 Elite December 2021

  • Expertise: Business Management

  • Dislikes Working on: Laying out ideas visually

  • Most Known For: Neo Tokyo Merch Store

  • Reason for Joining Council: Lending a Business Minded Hand

  • One Word: Supportive

  • Outside Interests: Motocross construction

Working in the family business, Crasher started off in high end audio equipment with his father before transitioning into a fence screen company in 2010. They build screens for construction sites, and Crasher managed production. He worked his way up to general manager and now helps with production, sales, and strategy.

He had a trading card addiction as a kid, and as an adult he’d occasionally dabble in a little nostalgia. It was 2020 when this habit translated over to the crypto world. Someone bought his first edition card for $100k, and he took that money to market. While he missed the initial Neo Tokyo riddles, Crasher joined Neo Tokyo as an Elite S1 in 2021. The community immediately felt like his digital home. Everyone inside had accountability, a trait Crasher values.

His best skill is business management and gathering teams. On top of that selling physical products and marketing them to the community is what he specializes in. Sales can be intimidating for a lot of people, but crasher says it's all human psychology. Most problems can be solved once they are identified, and that is often the most difficult part. When it comes to what he dislikes working on, it usually comes down to putting his ideas down in a readable format. He prefers conversations to decks and lists.

Because of his experience in sourcing products, he saw a niche within Neo Tokyo in the merch department. He started off making one off items for citizens, including hoodies with citizen numbers on them. He was eventually invited to the official merch team just before the store launched. He helped Meridian with the limited edition hoodie, and also learned alot from her intense background in fashion. Crasher is now the Merch Store lead and is on the PRP core team in addition to servicing as a community council member.

He joined the council to bring an additional perspective. After 13 years of working in business, he hopes to bring his understanding and knowledge to help things run smoothly throughout The Citadel. “If something goes through and we need additional hands on it, I want to come through and put in my effort,” Crasher said.

Outside Neo Tokyo, Crasher enjoys the sport of Motocross. He races at an amateur pro level, and yes, has spent time with Race4TheWin in this arena.

“I don't care what's going on or whether it's merch or something for your own project or whatever it is. I want to be an open door to people who, if they have questions or have needs think that I can help them. Just ask me if I can help you. Most of the time, I'm part of the PRP team, so I will get you to someone who can.”
