Respect the Degeneracy
It approaches ever nearer. Our 3rd year anniversary event will soon be upon us, and if you haven’t RSPV’d yet, do so here.
Following on from the legends at Altura sponsoring the event, our Angelic Overlord has swooped in, not to be outdone, and is now co-sponsoring too via SuperVerse! All good citizens know this already, but SUPER is being integrated across elite web3 gaming titles, creating the first-ever unified crypto gaming network. Cheers, Ellio! Not only is NT one of the few NFT communities to survive the bear market, but it has thrived and become a powerful force within web3. And there’s absolutely no argument against the fact that our merch is the best out there.
Don’t believe me? You should; this is broken clock alpha. But check out the Division Spotlight on Shibuya Mall above, and give the Mall a follow here to keep up to date on what they’re up to.
This is how things shaped up with the NT content:
Meet Your Citizens: OG citizen Jeff Treves joins Block Editor for this week’s show for a discussion on his journey into NT, major projects he’s worked on (including Disney!), and his outside interests as a part-time rockstar and tattoo master.
Illuvium AMA: Kieran Warwick, co-founder of the famous Illuvium, joined Ben following their highly anticipated launch this past July 25th. Illuvium is a turn-based collectible RPG autobattler and one of the first popular web3 AAA games to burst onto the scene. Listen back here.
Rambe Games AMA: BigTurnz, the founder of the hot Web3 studio developing RIZE, joins the AMA team to delve into their fast-paced, team-based vertical extraction shooter. Additionally, learn about their upcoming NFT collection mint, Harambians, and the token to accompany it. Listen back here.
Interlinked Episode #40: Nick meets with Bryan di Santo, the CMO of InfiniGods - the mobile gaming studio building a universe of fun, free-to-play, Web3-powered games. The discussion meanders through Bryan’s past and dives deep into InfiniGods and their game King of Destiny, with crucial advice on important web3 do’s and dont’s.
Market Monday: ButWouldYa, Flower, and Photoshopped discuss the week's happenings as the market hangs on by a thread. Flower talks more about his switching of allegiance from ETH to SOL, a little about Trump’s recent influence on Bitcoin, and the continuing shift of attention from NFTs to memecoins, even from NFT founders themselves. Notice how this is just “Market Monday” now? The “NFT” has been dropped; lessons there. Listen back here.

Becker recently dropped his first video in a while. This usually sparks the usual apeing of the coins he mentions, with viewers front-running what he mentions. I hear you degens were aping a dead/hacked coin at one stage. I respect the degeneracy.
Regardless, if you don’t feel like watching the whole video, which we do not condone, Ktrap has done you a solid and written a recap of all the coins Becker mentions, along with a small blurb Becker has said about them. Check it out above and don’t forget to show him some love for his efforts.

Meet Your Neo Tokyo Citizens:
Zulu
Discord ID: 0xzulu
Background: Alternative living
Entered Crypto: 2020
Joined NT: S1 Mint
Expertise: Psychology, lore
Most Known For: Writing Team Lead
Outside Interests: Off grid Living, Physical skills
Zulu called his pre-crypto life “alternative,” and it might be a bit of an understatement! He grew up living on the forest's edge surrounded by nature and a loving family. During his earlier school days, he pursued self discovery and the exploration of his own psyche in the constant pursuit of answers to impossible questions.
About 10-15 years ago, he got involved in setting up off-grid properties alongside his family. Zulu finally had enough of the toxic world and broken economy; it wasn’t working for him anymore. Then, about 3 years ago, Zulu made the choice and moved to an island, surrounded by ancient forests, to build his own off-grid homestead with a small group of people.
His move to web3 complimented this choice perfectly. When he entered Neo Tokyo, he fell in love with the people here while existing under an anonymous alias. The conversations he started having and the friends he started making made The Citadel feel like home. “My motivations being in this space is much more based around relationships and storytelling, more so than money,” Zulu said. The space is so heavily ingrained in greed, but what Zulu found in Neo Tokyo was a group of “smart and authentic people,” a now welcomed solace after having investigated real “twitter cabal.”
Zulu is currently a writing lead in Neo Tokyo working diligently on the lore side. They have been collecting old stories and building on them to create a proper origin story that will bring viewers into Neo Tokyo as a fresh slate. He has also started a citizen lore document that will be shared soon. Citizens will be able to upload their own created lore about their citizens as well. After the origin story is finished, they will start weaving the tales together and create a “twisted net of anonymous people and uploaded minds.”
When asked about his expertise, Zulu said it is more in psychology and understanding abstract perspectives on life and options available to people. He has a keen interest in trauma work and alternative ways of living. Writing lore is his second passion and he’s willing to assist any citizens struggling with their own lore.
His passion for lore likely comes from his family history. “I have a hefty family legacy,” Zulu said. Readers should listen to the full story on NTV YouTube. But to offer a teaser, we have an international spy, the Prince of Wales, an African Zulu Tribe, Pole to Pole missions, and fighting whalers all wound into Zulu’s DNA! In addition, listeners can hear the tales of some of Zulu’s personal visions and thoughts on Shamanism, another trope passed down through family.
Zulu has a list of hobbies for the ages, but he briefly describes his extracurricular tastes as “ninja stuff,” including: Tight roping, weaponry, hunting, and seemingly many more mysteries to be unraveled.
To Reserve or Not to Reserve?
By now, most, if not all, have heard President Trump’s statement of the United States having a Bitcoin National Strategic Reserve. This would obviously impact BTC and all of our bags if it were to become reality! Let’s take a look at the possible implications of such a reserve. Here are some key advantages:
Hedge Against Inflation: This is the obvious one. Bitcoin could serve as a hedge against the inflation of the U.S. dollar. Unlike the U.S. dollar, Bitcoin has a fixed supply, which may help preserve value over time (this is the hope at least).
Technological Leadership: By holding Bitcoin, the U.S. would demonstrate its commitment to financial & technological advancements, positioning itself as a leader in the evolving digital economy. This sounds like a great idea for the U.S. vs. the current, let’s regulate the hell out of it and prevent people from owning it. KYC has become such an issue on so many exchanges, the challenge for many U.S. citizens is finding an exchange. This is the result of the current, anti-crypto policies of the U.S.
Geopolitical Leverage: A significant Bitcoin reserve could provide the U.S. with economic and diplomatic leverage, especially as Bitcoin's role in global finance grows. Trump stated he wants the United States to be at the forefront of the crypto industry. Uuhh, yes please!
Financial Diversification: Adding Bitcoin to national reserves would diversify the country's assets, moving beyond traditional holdings like gold and foreign currencies. Isn’t this one of the founding principles of investing (diversification)?
Preparation for a Crypto-Dominated Future: As cryptocurrencies become more integrated into global financial systems, a Bitcoin reserve would prepare the U.S. for a future where digital currencies play a larger role. The world is moving towards a blockchain based system. We cannot be left behind.
Economic Stimulus: This initiative could stimulate the U.S. crypto industry, promoting innovation and potentially attracting investment. I say could, but I think WILL is more likely!
Influence Over the Bitcoin Network: Large Bitcoin holdings could provide the U.S. with a greater influence within the Bitcoin ecosystem, potentially shaping its future direction. Would you rather China or Russia be in this position? There will be a Country in this position at some point. The U.S. must lead the way.
Revenue Generation: With Bitcoin appreciation over time, the reserve could generate substantial returns for the U.S. Treasury. Are you in the BTC to a million club?
I’m sure there are more reasons to Reserve or Not to Reserve, but as a crypto believer and holder, the choice seems clear to me! How about you?
