They Will Scam You Again If You Let Them

Many of us thought that “The LA Vape Cabal” hid in the sewers after the Argentina rug, gone forever after pocketing millions with insider info they gathered due to being “influencers on CT.”

Turns out they’ve just been meticulously plotting and planning in the shadows, and then after months, they came out with the best and brightest idea that was totally not front-ran by 17 other competitors in the memecoin space in the last few weeks.

They decided that they will…. wait for it… release another copy of pump.fun. Yes, lol, this was the big reveal. Strap in & buckle up because we have another memecoin launchpad in the works.

And so, they released a cringeworthy trailer that has one of the most funny comments sections you will ever encounter on CT. Seriously, go read it if you want some Friday entertainment:

But this time they will do it right, and theirs will be the biggest one. Of course. And they will totally be more transparent and more fair and more “for the community” than others will be. Low fees, better speed and obviously there will be an airdrop.

Except… the platform is run by all the people with the most disgusting reputation in the space.

Known grifters who faced numerous accusations of dumping on their followers, abandoning their NFT communities, memecoins and other projects, trading with inside information and doing paid shills.

It is no wonder that the current stance on the entire CT is almost unanimous “if you continue to trust these guys, you deserve to lose money at this point.”

And that is also just about all there is to say about it.

This Week In Neo Tokyo:
$BYTES Will Be a Key Negotiating Tool For Peace In The Middle East

It’s VERY disturbing to see some individuals capitulate on the umpteenth “news” that WW3 has broken out.

Many are like a cat chasing a laser. No self-control. Selling of $BYTES may be legal (for now) but until that loophole is fixed, be mindful that $BYTES will be a key negotiating tool for peace in the Middle East.

Do NOT sell the instrument that will quell your fears. How would doing so make sense?

Nothing in this newsletter is financial advice!

Exciting news once again this week for The Citadel, as it was announced yesterday that Rengō, our official crypto investor network, has joined the elite Seedify Curator Circle!

Founded by Neo Tokyo’s own Chr0nicle and sdc, Rengō is a powerhouse that’s been waiting to be unleashed, connecting top Web3 projects with over 350 venture capitalists, KOLs, and launchpads to unlock funding, visibility, and growth.

This partnership with Seedify will further power Rengō’s mission: elevating innovative builders and delivering high-quality opportunities to both $SFUND holders and Citizens alike.

Congratulations to them! Show them some love on the announcement post below:

This week’s Citizen Testimonial comes from none other than Scott Herman, Co-Founder of WAGMI Games. Check out the thread below:

Fun fact: When I was vibe coding a workout routine, I looked up how to do some of the exercises, and Scott’s YouTube videos from about 15 years ago came up a lot. This man is teaching me how to get hench. Cheers, buddy!

And take a read of this. Incredible story, only in Neo Tokyo.

This Week’s Neo Tokyo Content

Interlinked #84

It’s a full house with Ben, Cryptoetheus, and Jarred diving into all the latest madness, including the utterly chaotic (but short-lived?) Trump vs. Elon feud. Then a shift into the title topic of vibe coding — what it is, what tools to use, and how to create software and games without deep programming knowledge.

If you’ve been itching to get into it but didn’t know where to begin, this one’s for you!

Market Monday #125

Our new best friends at Avalanche Gaming joined the Market Monday crew this week to dig a bit deeper into what’s been cooking over there. There’s a bit of exclusive alpha if you listen closely.

Other topics discussed included the usual general market overview and NFT talk, specifically the recent surge of $ANIME.

NT x Unfungible Space

What can be learned from Web2? If Web3 is aiming to take over, then the blueprint of what to do (and what not to do) can be found through the many triumphs and mistakes of the current gaming landscape in 2025.

Find out more later today at 12:00 ET. Set reminders/listen back here.

Metacade AMA

Russell Bennett, the CEO of Metacade, joins Cryptoetheus to discuss “the home of gaming on Base” — a Web3 community hub that unites both gamers and developers alike through their P2E gaming platform.

Raijin AMA

RareBreeds and Alan Carroll join Cryptoetheus for a deep dive into their gaming platform that transforms PC gaming achievements into real-world rewards.

If, like me, you’ve racked up a bunch of achievements throughout the years and then came to the realisation — “hang on, what in the hell am I doing this for?” — generally an epiphany that manifests after you’ve discovered the benefits of NFTs, this will interest you.
